How you can support a Mom in need this Giving Tuesday
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to make a powerful impact by supporting Black mothers navigating life’s toughest moments. At Black Girls Mental Health Collective, we know that mental health resources are essential for mothers to thrive—and your generosity can help make that possible.
Here’s how you can make a difference this Giving Tuesday:
1. Sponsor Therapy Sessions for a Mom in Need
Therapy can be life-changing for moms dealing with stress, depression, or anxiety, but for many, it’s simply out of reach financially. By donating to our cause, you can sponsor therapy sessions and give a mom the support she needs to heal and grow.
$75 funds one 30-minute therapy session.
$150 covers a 60-minute therapy session.
$3,900 provides a full year of therapy for one mom.
Every dollar helps us make mental health care more accessible. Click here to donate.
2. Double Your Impact with Employer Matching
Many companies offer donation matching programs, allowing your gift to go twice as far. Check with your employer to see if they’ll match your Giving Tuesday donation. If your employer uses Benevity, search for Black Girls Mental Health Collective Foundation. By doubling your impact, you can sponsor even more therapy sessions and bring healing to more families.
3. Give Flexibly with Monthly Contributions
Can’t make a one-time donation? No problem. By setting up a recurring gift, you can sponsor therapy services over time. Monthly contributions ensure we can provide consistent care to moms year-round. Click here to set up monthly contributions.
4. Spread the Word
You don’t have to donate to make an impact! Share our mission on social media, tag your friends, or host a mini-fundraiser to rally support for moms in need. Your voice can inspire others to join the movement.
5. Honor a Mom in Your Life
Dedicate your Giving Tuesday donation to honor a mom who has inspired you. Celebrate her strength and resilience by supporting other mothers on their mental health journeys.
Why It Matters
Black mothers face unique challenges when it comes to mental health. From systemic barriers to limited access to culturally attuned care, these challenges can often feel insurmountable. Your donation helps us provide therapy and resources to mothers who need it most, giving them the tools to thrive for themselves and their families.
This Giving Tuesday, you have the power to be part of their healing journey. Let’s work together to uplift and empower Black mothers everywhere.
