Chantal Austin, ACSW
Who would you be if you weren’t carrying the weight of everything life has thrown at you? If you weren’t constantly questioning yourself, replaying the past, or shrinking to fit spaces that don’t honor you?
If you don’t have that answer yet, that’s okay—you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I’m Chantal Austin, an Associate Clinical Social Worker, and I help Black women, femmes, and non-binary people of color heal from the weight of trauma, redefine their self-worth, and reclaim their power.
My approach is a balance of deep compassion and real accountability—I will hold space for you, but I will also challenge you to step into the fullness of who you are.
Therapy with me is about more than just talking—it’s about actively transforming how you experience yourself and the world around you.
How I Help
I specialize in working with those navigating trauma, betrayal, anxiety, and life transitions. I integrate Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy to help you not just understand your pain, but move through it.
Somatic work helps us explore how trauma is stored in the body and release it, while CBT allows us to challenge and shift negative thought patterns.
I also use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps you reprocess past trauma in a way that no longer feels all-consuming.
Together, we will untangle the stories that have been written for you and rewrite a narrative that truly reflects you.
Accessible Care for You
I accept Aetna and Cigna insurance, as well as vouchers from the Loveland Foundation. If you have out-of-network benefits, I provide superbills for reimbursement, making therapy more accessible. Your healing should not be another barrier.

Why me?
I believe healing is an act of resistance.
Black women and femmes have been told to be strong, to endure, to survive—but what if thriving was an option?
I understand what it feels like to navigate spaces that were never built with us in mind. I know the weight of expectations, the pressure to always be okay, and the exhaustion of proving your worth.
My work is centered on creating a culturally affirming, trauma-informed space where you don’t have to perform, where you don’t have to prove your pain, where you can simply exist and be met with deep understanding and care.
