Imani Meeks
Perinatal Support Specialist
Bringing life into the world is transformative—but it can also be overwhelming, isolating, and full of unexpected challenges. Whether you're preparing for birth, adjusting to postpartum life, or simply trying to navigate the emotional ups and downs of the perinatal period, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m Imani Meeks, and I’m here to walk alongside you through every stage of this journey.
As a Perinatal Support Specialist, I help new and expecting mothers access the care, resources, and community they deserve. I enroll participants into our Birth Network, conduct perinatal clinical assessments, and match mamas with the right providers. But beyond the logistics, I provide something just as important: a compassionate, understanding presence. Someone who listens. Someone who sees you. Someone who reminds you that you are not alone.
My background in behavioral health, mental health case management, and perinatal support services allows me to offer informed and trauma-informed care. I have been trained in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, completed Substance Use Disorder Training, and am currently working toward my Doula certification. I take a whole-person approach, recognizing that your emotional well-being is just as important as your physical health. I also help facilitate perinatal support groups, where Black women and birthing individuals can connect, share their experiences, and feel truly supported in a culturally affirming space.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, birth trauma, or just the everyday stress of new motherhood, I am here to help you access the care you need. Let’s walk this path together—because you deserve to feel supported, seen, and empowered in this season of your life.
